David Garibaldi is an artist that you should be watching, literally! David, a resident of Sacramento, California is an amazing performance artist who has painted in front of NBA crowds, with the Blue Man group, at charity functions, companies, churches, and more. Known for his explosive style and incredible skills, David always captivates his audience with his passion for his craft.

His Rhythm and Hue performance art show includes scores of music and a stage where David dunks his array of brushes into vibrant buckets of paint and powerfully attacks his 6 foot canvas to create portraits of iconic subjects, such as: Elvis, Santana, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Einstein, Obama, and others. What sometimes looks like the fits of a madman is the emotional explosion of David’s skills being ignited by the energy of his music, his subject, and his connection with the unknown possibility of what is to become another cherished piece of art. Always finishing his work with his signature, a bright yellow high five, you know that you have reached your final destination in the visual journey he takes you on, a completed painting and the big reveal!

This is something you must see. You could write the most amazing description in the world but it just wouldn’t do justice. It is important to surround yourself with positive people, music and the arts and with David Garibaldi, you get all of that and more. Support your local artists and those abroad. If you ever get the chance to watch David live, I hear that you will be in for a treat. I do hope to see him someday and purchase one of his pieces.

What Is Wingsuit Base Jumping

Earlier today, while checking Twitter, I came across a post from @tonyrobbins that floored me! I could not believe what I was seeing with my eyes when I clicked the link within his tweet. My jaw literally hit the floor and I immediately found myself wanting to participate. Dudes were base jumping off some monstrous cliffs in Norway and were literally flying through the air like birds with the aid of their wingsuits. What are wingsuits? Yeah, I asked the same question.

Wingsuits shape the human body into an airfoil which can create lift. This makes it possible to rip through the air like a fighter jet and break the rules on what is possible for a human to accomplish when challenging gravity. The wingsuit creates the unique airfoil shape with fabric sewn between the legs and under the arms. Ever seen a flying squirrel in action? Well that’s exactly what these suits look like. Anyways, enough with the technical stuff, take a look at the video and prepare to reattach your jaw.

One of the interweb’z YouTube Superstars, @shaycarl, has decided to commit to an epic YouTube vlogging journey that will test both his dedication to his loyal fanbase and his ability to create unique content on a daily basis. Yes, Mr. Shay Carl, as fate would have it, has decided to boldly go where few have ever gone before – daily vlogging!!

I must say that this is one of my guilty pleasures. Watching the magnificent symphony that is the world of Shay Carl. Everybody needs a laugh and Shay always over-delivers. A loving husband to his beautiful wife – kaitilette, super father to his three kids and dog owner to Malachi, Shay has the ability to bring humor to any audience and does so in his own quirky way. It’s just plain funny, contagious and genuine. This dude can strike up humor in any setting with any person. Sometimes people get it and sometimes they don’t. Either way it’s a great way to pass the hours in your cubicle.

In case you have been living under a rock and don’t know what Twitter is, or the growing list of celebrities that have adopted this social networking staple, you need to get on board and sign up, like yesterday! Recently, on the Ellen Degeneres show, P Diddy announced his love for Twitter and even got Ellen to get an account. This is great television and it’s most definitely What I Like On The Web. Still don’t know what Twitter is about, just watch the video and let Diddy explain.

@iamdiddy has taken his Twitter promotion very seriously. He has even devoted a youtube channel to his Twittering addiction, where he promotes what he is doing via his videos and earns followers by reminding them to follow @iamdiddy. Jaydiohead: A Musical Mashup of Jay-Z & Radiohead

How about starting your new year with some new music. Well, not exactly new, but mashed up and remixed. Do you recall when Jay-Z created a musical mashup with Linkin Park several years ago? Well, Minty Fresh Beats, a DJ out of New York has paired songs from Jay’s Black Album and American Gangster with a host of Radiohead tracks. This is a great listen if you are a fan of either Jay-Z or Radiohead. I must say that this mashup is just as good as the Linkin Park mix, if not better.

My favorite track on jaydiohead has to be “No Karma”. The base track from Radiohead’s “Karma Police” serves as an amazing beat for the lyrical mastermind, Jay-Z to rap over. “Dreaming up”, my second favorite song on this album is like a James Bond movie being injected into a mellow house lounge, where powerful people abound. I love it. They are indeed, Minty Fresh Beats!
