Famous for his song, “That Girl”, David Choi will amaze you with his raspy voice and ability to compose catchy guitar riffs and melodies. I ran across David while I was listening to Julia Nunes, another talented up and coming musician, who plays a very unique instrument (you will have to read the post to see). David is extremely talented and his work has been featured on many different networks both here in the states and internationally.

Music artists, like David Choi and Julia Nunes, make me happy to go to itunes and buy their music because this is truly supporting artists that haven’t been poisoned by the ideas of the corporate music world, which often times ruins good musicians.

In case you have been living under a rock and don’t know what Twitter is, or the growing list of celebrities that have adopted this social networking staple, you need to get on board and sign up, like yesterday! Recently, on the Ellen Degeneres show, P Diddy announced his love for Twitter and even got Ellen to get an account. This is great television and it’s most definitely What I Like On The Web. Still don’t know what Twitter is about, just watch the video and let Diddy explain.

@iamdiddy has taken his Twitter promotion very seriously. He has even devoted a youtube channel to his Twittering addiction, where he promotes what he is doing via his videos and earns followers by reminding them to follow @iamdiddy. Well played Mr. Combs, well played indeed! I salute Diddy for getting out there and shining a light on Twitter. Everyone needs to be on this service. LET’S GO!!!

How about starting your new year with some new music. Well, not exactly new, but mashed up and remixed. Do you recall when Jay-Z created a musical mashup with Linkin Park several years ago? Well, Minty Fresh Beats, a DJ out of New York has paired songs from Jay’s Black Album and American Gangster with a host of Radiohead tracks. This is a great listen if you are a fan of either Jay-Z or Radiohead. I must say that this mashup is just as good as the Linkin Park mix, if not better.

My favorite track on jaydiohead has to be “No Karma”. The base track from Radiohead’s “Karma Police” serves as an amazing beat for the lyrical mastermind, Jay-Z to rap over. “Dreaming up”, my second favorite song on this album is like a James Bond movie being injected into a mellow house lounge, where powerful people abound. I love it. They are indeed, Minty Fresh Beats!

This post will be the first of our new WILOTW series: Beautiful Websites: Past & Present.   One of the forefathers of cutting edge, flash-based web design, 2advanced caters to the marketing needs of big names you are familiar with such as: Ford, EA Games, Capcom, and ESPN to name just a few. Since their inception in 1999, their website has pushed the limits of what web design was capable of, especially in the realm of flash.

Currently, the site design is on Version 5 – “attractor”. I am anticipating their next corporate site design overhaul. The sexiness will abound, I am sure of it.

Imagine the looks and laughs you will receive when you touch your lips to your iPhone and harmonica sounds begin to fill the air with music. The Harmonica application by Benjamin McDowell costs only $0.99 cents in the itunes app store. This digital harmonica features notes sampled from a genuine 10-hole diatonic harmonica. You are able to play both single notes and execute chords, as well as blow notes and draw notes, as explained in the app store overview. I have used my iphone harmonica in public settings just to watch the reactions, and let me tell you, they have been priceless. I have seen people react with laughter, bewilderment, and lots snarkiness. It has been nearly impossible for me to keep a straight face.

You have the option to play with your fingers by simply touching the harmonica, but it doesn’t look nearly as cool. Playing the harmonica with your fingers is definitely more hygenic in comparison to placing your mouth on your iphone. While using your lips to make the music doesn’t require that you actually blow into your iphone, it certainly looks more realistic and makes this gag look even more convincing. Make sure you check this app out today! It’s sure to bring the laughs.
