It’s no secret that I love coffee. It’s also not a secret that I am very particular about my coffee. Hell, some might even call me a coffee snob. If there is one thing you should know, it’s this: DON’T SCREW AROUND WITH MY COFFEE. Don’t change it. Don’t buy another brand. Don’t try to pull the old switcheroo. Why? In all seriousness, I really don’t like my coffee messed with, okay? However, the real point of this post was to pay tribute to one of my heroes: Chris Farley. It deeply saddens me that he is no longer with us and so many people missed out on the great glory days of Saturday Night Live. Chris Farley passed away 12 years ago in 1997 at the young age of 33.

Chris, I hope that you are having a blast with John Candy, Richard Pryor, and George Carlin, wherever you guys are…

In this well constructed commercial, HP Touch Smart PC calls out “Gift Card” in an epic battle to determine, who/what makes a better gift by injecting humor, well-timed sarcasm and by touching on a serious gifting problem – the purchasing of gift cards.

We all know that while the gift card presents it’s holder with an infinite number of purchasing possibilities, limited only by the card type and balance, that it’s just plain lame to give them as gifts during the holidays. The gift card is the lazy shoppers gift of choice, I know because I have purchased many of them on different occasions – guilty as charged. Sometimes it’s the best solution and sometimes it isn’t. You have to know when you can pull it off and when you can not.

Make sure that you know when it’s cool to pick one up and when you need to pull out the big dog and get a truly memorable gift. Don’t be a dunce this Holiday. Start planning ahead.

While scouring the web last night for Christmas/Holiday related websites and items, I ran across something that I simply can not stop talking about. It’s The Original Christmas Classics – 7 Holiday Favorites on DVD, and I can hardly contain my excitement. If you were a child of the 1970’s and 1980’s, then you surely can recall seeing these movies on network television. I can remember watching them with my dad as a kid, and now plan on continuing this tradition with my son. This incredible box set includes the four original classic Christmas specials from Rankin/Bass: Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, The Little Drummer Boy, Frosty The Snowman, and The Cricket on the Hearth. Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol and Frosty Returns, which are not Rankin/Bass products, are also included in this beautiful collectors dvd set. If you haven’t seen these videos, you must check them out.

If you are a fan of The Office, you MUST see this video clip. I have watched the pseudo-birthing scene about 15 times and I laugh harder with each pass when the watermelon hits the floor. See for yourself. In this scene Michael is practicing for the birth of Jan’s baby by having Dwight go over possible birthing scenarios. Watch the video below for some good laughs and to find out what butter has to do with birthing simulations. Steve Carell has me laughing the whole way though. Gosh, he is such a dope!
