In this spooky browser based game, you are given the task of cleaning out the haunted manor that is infested with ghosts, who are intent on running anyone and everyone out of “their” home. Not since the Twisted Metal series came out on the original Sony Playstation, have I had so much fun destroying other modified war vehicles. Metal Mayhem 2, a browswer-based game that utilizes Adobe’s shockwave, is amazingly awesome. It has simple controls utilizing the directional pad and the keys “z”, “x”, and “c” to fire your weapon, power slide, and cycle weapons, respectively. The graphics are outstanding when you consider that this game is browser-based.

As you progress through each map, you are introduced to more competitive versions of the map, where the gameplay really heats up, as your enemies become more fierce. Each map is filled with bonuses, first aid packs and weapon refills, which makes the gameplay a blasty blast. With each vehicle you destroy, you earn money that you can use at the garage to modify your vehicle or purchase a better model. 

The concept isn’t anything new as far as gameplay or vehicle modification, but for a browser-based racing/destruction game that has fast game play and great graphics, I think it rocks. This game has it all for me: fast racing, drifting, explosions, vehicle modification and fierce competition. But, as Levar Burton from Reading Rainbow used to say, “you don’t have to take my word for it.”
