David Garibaldi is an artist that you should be watching, literally! David, a resident of Sacramento, California is an amazing performance artist who has painted in front of NBA crowds, with the Blue Man group, at charity functions, companies, churches, and more. Known for his explosive style and incredible skills, David always captivates his audience with his passion for his craft.

His Rhythm and Hue performance art show includes scores of music and a stage where David dunks his array of brushes into vibrant buckets of paint and powerfully attacks his 6 foot canvas to create portraits of iconic subjects, such as: Elvis, Santana, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Einstein, Obama, and others. What sometimes looks like the fits of a madman is the emotional explosion of David’s skills being ignited by the energy of his music, his subject, and his connection with the unknown possibility of what is to become another cherished piece of art. Always finishing his work with his signature, a bright yellow high five, you know that you have reached your final destination in the visual journey he takes you on, a completed painting and the big reveal!

This is something you must see. You could write the most amazing description in the world but it just wouldn’t do justice. It is important to surround yourself with positive people, music and the arts and with David Garibaldi, you get all of that and more. Support your local artists and those abroad. If you ever get the chance to watch David live, I hear that you will be in for a treat. I do hope to see him someday and purchase one of his pieces.

As you progress through each map, you are introduced to more competitive versions of the map, where the gameplay really heats up, as your enemies become more fierce. Each map is filled with bonuses, first aid packs and weapon refills, which makes the gameplay a blasty blast. With each vehicle you destroy, you earn money that you can use at the garage to modify your vehicle or purchase a better model. 

The concept isn’t anything new as far as gameplay or vehicle modification, but for a browser-based racing/destruction game that has fast game play and great graphics, I think it rocks. This game has it all for me: fast racing, drifting, explosions, vehicle modification and fierce competition. But, as Levar Burton from Reading Rainbow used to say, “you don’t have to take my word for it.”

Wingsuits shape the human body into an airfoil which can create lift. This makes it possible to rip through the air like a fighter jet and break the rules on what is possible for a human to accomplish when challenging gravity. The wingsuit creates the unique airfoil shape with fabric sewn between the legs and under the arms. Ever seen a flying squirrel in action? Well that’s exactly what these suits look like. Anyways, enough with the technical stuff, take a look at the video and prepare to reattach your jaw.

I remember how much fun it was in the summer to gather all my neighborhood mates, split up into teams and have water gun wars. Hiding in the neighbors bushes, climbing up into trees, and even jumping into garbage cans, we silently awaited for the approach of our victims. I so wish that I could do that again. What a rush! If you are like me, you would love to do it again, even as an adult.. Stop lying to yourself, you know you would!

Wait, what? I can? How? No way…

Apparently there is a secret society of Water Gun war enthusiasts that play this game with tenacity, dedication and ninja like reflexes. It’s called StreetWars – a 3 week long, 24/7, watergun assassination tournament that has already taken place in New York City, Vancouver, Vienna, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Chicago, Paris and is now coming back to New York City

Imagine, if you will, signing up to become a Street Wars Assassin, where you have a meeting with the Top Boss in the back of some dark club on the sketchy side of town. This is the real deal – Hollywood style!! You are given a dossier, complete with your TARGET’S information: their home address, their business address, photos and more. All people in the game agree to give this information to the Street Wars officials. You then embark on a 3 week mission to take out your target by studying their moves and observing their patterns. If you are successful in taking out your target, they have to give you the target(s) that they are currently hunting. Sure to give anyone an instant adrenaline rush, you will never leave your home in the same fashion again, as long as you know that someone might be hunting you down. That paperboy sure looks suspicious… <silence> <squiiiiiiiiiirt>

One of the interweb’z YouTube Superstars, @shaycarl, has decided to commit to an epic YouTube vlogging journey that will test both his dedication to his loyal fanbase and his ability to create unique content on a daily basis. Yes, Mr. Shay Carl, as fate would have it, has decided to boldly go where few have ever gone before – daily vlogging!! <cue dramatic music – dun dun dun!>

I must say that this is one of my guilty pleasures. Watching the magnificent symphony that is the world of Shay Carl. Everybody needs a laugh and Shay always over-delivers.  A loving husband to his beautiful wife – kaitilette, super father to his three kids and dog owner to Malachi, Shay has the ability to bring humor to any audience and does so in his own quirky way. It’s just plain funny, contagious and genuine. This dude can strike up humor in any setting with any person. Sometimes people get it and sometimes they don’t. Either way it’s a great way to pass the hours in your cubicle.

In all seriousness, I really don’t like my coffee messed with, okay? However, the real point of this post was to pay tribute to one of my heroes: Chris Farley. It deeply saddens me that he is no longer with us and so many people missed out on the great glory days of Saturday Night Live. Chris Farley passed away 12 years ago in 1997 at the young age of 33.

Chris, I hope that you are having a blast with John Candy, Richard Pryor, and George Carlin, wherever you guys are…
